What you can do in Surf Language
These features match screens in the app. Tools that are not in front of learners yet are not listed here.
Short lessons, clear structure
A lesson brings together words and phrases in the target language, grammar when needed, and a practice quiz. Time is shown in minutes; the Russian A1 introductions lesson is about 10 minutes.
CEFR steps
Levels are stored as A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2. At sign-up you describe your experience; that choice sets the starting level.
Spoken words
Tap the speaker on a word card to hear the target language. It is speech synthesis for that language, not a studio file. English, Turkish, Russian, and French have their own language codes.
Practice quizzes
After a lesson you start practice. Multiple choice and true/false are scored automatically. The introductions practice uses a 70% pass mark. Results show accuracy, XP, and streak; you can review answers.
Daily goal, streak, and XP
Daily practice is 5, 10, 15, 20, or 30 minutes; 15 is the suggested value. Home shows today's progress. The XP path uses ocean names from Ripple to Ocean.
Weak spots
Wrong answers collect by concept. The progress tab shows where you stumble so later practice can return there.
More than one language
One account can open several learning languages, pause them, or resume. The language you know is removed from the learn list because it is already your interface.
Personal settings
Goal type, daily time, and level are stored per language. You can add a profile photo and choose a light or dark theme.
